Virus:
Viruses – A virus is a small program that replicates. A virus can join a program like a spreadsheet. Each time the spreadsheet program runs, the virus runs, too, and have the chance to reproduce (to join other programs) or wreak havoc. E-mail viruses – An e-mail virus moves the e-mail, and is usually played automatically by email to dozens of people in the book of the email address of the victim. Worms – A worm is a small program that uses computer networks and security holes to replicate itself. A copy of the worm scans the network to another computer that has a specific security hole. It copies itself to the new machine using the security hole, and then start playing from there, too. Trojan horses – A Trojan horse is simply a computer program. The program aims to do something (you can pretend to be a game, or a “free” piece of software), but it hurts when you run it (it may erase your hard drive). Trojan horses have no way to replicate automatically. They are called Trojan horses, and sometimes disguised as normal computer programs.
Spyware:
Spyware is software that collects user information in secret by the user’s Internet connection without your knowledge, usually for advertising purposes. Spyware is often hidden element of freeware or shareware programs that can be downloaded from the Internet, however, noted that the majority of shareware and freeware applications do not contain spyware. Once installed, the spyware monitors user activity on the Internet and transmits that information in the background to someone else. Spyware can also gather information about e-mail addresses and even passwords and credit card numbers.
Spyware often causes pop-up ads that appear on the screen of the user without user knowledge or consent. These pop-ups can be a headache, and spyware itself is often delayed slow computers to a crawl.
Because spyware exists as independent executable programs, they have the ability to monitor keystrokes, scan files on the hard drive, snoop other applications, such as chat programs or word processors, install programs other spies, read cookies, change the default home page in the Web browser, constantly transmit this information to the author or spyware that is used for promotional purposes of marketing or selling the information to a third party. When the home page of the web browser changes without your knowledge or consent, it is a kidnapping in the homepage.
Sometimes a computer is so infected by viruses and spyware, malware that can not be eliminated completely without formatting the hard drive (delete all files) and reinstalling the operating system. Now is when you contact your computer repair shop. Ask a computer virus of the technician. The technology will provide a solution for data backup and note that he had installed programs, then do a BFR (Backup, Format, Reinstall, Restore) in the system. When virus and spyware is finished, ask for instructions on how to run programs that were installed to prevent viruses and spyware to compromise your system in the future.
